Today we experimented with energy conversion by creating cars that operate by converting stored electrical energy into mechanical movement energy through the use of an electrical circuit. Science 4.2.3 & 4.2.4 |

November 17, 2023 Today students practiced their cup stacking skills with Coach Lorton in PE. They participated in relay races where they had to stack and unstack various sized cups. |

Today we experimented with energy by building electrical circuits. We learned that stored energy in a battery can travel through wires and be used to power a light bulb creating heat and light energy. Science 4.2.2 & 4.2.3 |
November 10, 2023
In honor of Veterans Day and the veterans who have sacrificed so much for our freedom, we made thank you cards for them today. Students were able to use paper stamps, colored paper or cardstock, and were able to write messages to thank those who have served. |

This week we have been studying and investigating how energy transfers from one object to another when a collision occurs. Student had an opportunity to use various materials to design and observe chain reactions of energy transfers. |

Today in Physical Education students learned to work together when playing a battleship game. Students had to work with their team to gather balls in life boats (scooters), carry them back to the ship, and then throw them to try to knock down competing teams bowling pins that lined the edges of their ship. |

Today we investigated how energy transfers from one object to another when a collision occurs. To do this we created ramps with clipboards, then used a marble and a glue stick to show energy transfer. Science 4.2.2 |

Today in STEAM students were given the challenge to create a stand that could hold up a pumpkin. The materials they were required to use were only tape and straws. |

Our Halloween Celebration began with the parade at 9:00 AM and ended with a edible art project. We had been studying spiders all week, so we made spiders out of cookies, frosting, pretzels, and candy. |

Today we investigated how energy transfers from an athlete to a ball, when a ball is kicked or thrown. We also found that the amount of energy used determines the speed a ball can travel. Science 4.2.1 |
September 29, 2023 Today we had our fundraiser dance-a-thon. Students learned how to dance to Michael Jackson's Thriller then participated in the Hokey Pokey and the Chicken Dance. For the rest of the time they did the Limbo. |

September 27, 2023 Today students from Bonneville Jr. High joined us for some activities out in the field. Students participated in games and quizzes about Bonneville and won prizes. |
